ANKARA-KONYA DROPS TO 3 HOURS
Test-run of High Speed Train (YHT) between central Anatolian province of Konya and capital Ankara began. The train "Piri Reis" can reach 250 kilometers of speed. The train carried passengers from Ankara to Konya in 1.5 hours for 10 Turkish Lira (TL). Thus, round trip takes 3 hours, not six.
SURPRISING VISIT TO CHP
Prime Minister and chairman of Justice & Development (AK) Party Recep Tayyip Erdogan visited the election office of Ali Haydar Oner, a candidate from Republican Poeple's Party (CHP), on his way to an election rally in southwestern province of Isparta. Erdogan wished success to Oner.
WHY SUCH SECRECY?
Turkish singer Ibrahim Tatlises, who was shot in Maslak district of Istanbul on February 14, was treated in Germany, and brought back to Turkey by a private plane yesterday. Tatlises, who was transferred from airport to Darussafaka Rehabilitation Center under tight security measures, was not shown to anybody. It was claimed that Tatlises was not shown to journalists as he has not fully recovered.

SUPPORT FROM SARIGUL TO CHP
Mayor of Sisli district Mustafa Sarigul called on citizens to give vote in favor of Republican People's Party (CHP). Sarigul said elections became important at times of transformation periods.
Sarigul said Turkey Change Movement has suspended its activities to give opportunity to change in CHP.
ELECTION LIKE APPOINTMENT IN SUPREME COURT OF APPEALS
Voting in Supreme Court of Appeals was concluded in the first tour on the contrary to previous years. Chairman of 6th Civil Chamber Nazim Kaynak got 197 votes and became Head of Supreme Court of Appeals as it was expected days ago.
Kaynak will only act as chairman for 11 months due to age limit.
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan called Kaynak on the phone and congratulated him.

MINISTRY PUBLISHES KURDISH BOOK, COURT BANS ITS NAME
"Ehmedee Xani" (Ahmet Hani), the author of Mem u Zin book--used by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan during his party rallies to explain the democratic move-- was a subject to a lawsuit. A court sentenced municipal authorities to 20 days in prison on charges that they named a park after the Kurdish poet.
THRONE STOLEN FROM PALACE
Topkapi Palace's director Yusuf Benli instructed museum workers to carry the throne of Selim The Third to his lodging. The historical throne that used to be displayed in the Harem was carried to Benli's lodging within the museum on a rainy day. When the throne did not fit into the lodging, Benli could not experience his sultanate dreams. The throne was damaged and then put into a depot.
200 HOPA RESIDENTS RUN TO MOUNTAINS
Police staged raids one after the other following a Justice & Development (AK) Party election rally in Hopa town of the northern province of Artvin, and detained 32 people. Upon rumors that police had a list to arrest 65 more people, almost 200 people living in Hopa went to villages and forested areas to hide themselves.
