Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan commented on the attacks and provocations which have escalated prior to elections. "Those who were not welcomed by the nation, try to survive by threatening and frightening the nation."
He said, "we will not bow to acts of violence. You are those who will disrupt this game and overthrow this trick."

HE WAS ELECTED IN ONE ROUND
A tradition has changed in Supreme Court of Appeals. On the contrary to former elections, Nazim Kaynak was elected as president in the first round.
Former chairman Hasan Gerceker has retired due to age limit. Kaynak got 197 votes in the first round. Gerceker was elected in the 60th round after elections that continued for days.

NAZIM KAYNAK ELECTED AS CHAIRMAN OF SUPREME COURT OF APPEALS
Nazim Kaynak was elected as the new chairman of the Supreme Court of Appeals and replaced Hasan Gerceker as Gerceker retired. Kaynak will assume this position till May 5, 2012. "Jurisdiction has a heavy burden, but we will get over it," Kaynak said.

ERDOGAN VISITS CHP ELECTION OFFICE IN ISPARTA
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who is also the chairman of the Justice & Development (AK) Party, visited the election office of the Republican People's Party (CHP) in Isparta. Erdogan chatted with CHP members, and thus responded to CHP leader Kemal Kilicdaroglu's gesture. Kilicdaroglu had visited AK Party's election office in Bayrampasa, Istanbul on May 7.

LET US HELP TO CHANGE YOUR CONSTITUTION
Despite the busy election schedule, Turkish Prime Minister and chairman of Justice & Development (AK) Party Recep Tayyip Erdogan is closely following the developments in Syria where unrest still continues. Erdogan thanked Syrian President Bashar al-Assad who declared general pardoning upon recommendation of Erdogan. Erdogan gave promise to support Assad for the reforms, and said, "we can help regarding the new constitution."

15,000 TEACHERS ON WAY
National Education Minister Nimet Cubukcu gave the good news that 15,000 contracted teachers would be appointed in July. Cubukcu said, "applications will be received between June 28 and July 4. Appointments will be made on July 6."
