Iranian, Afghan Officials Discuss Cultural Ties
TEHRAN (FNA)- Head of Culture and Islamic Relations Organization of Iran Mohammad Baqer Khorramshad and Afghan Minister of Information and Culture Sayed Mkhdum Rahin explored avenue for the further expansion of ties between the two neighboring states.
During the meeting held in Kabul on Monday evening, Khorramshad voiced Tehran's preparedness to transfer the Iranian nation's cultural achievements to their Afghan brethren.
"Effective agreements have been signed by the two sides in the past regarding the expansion of bilateral cultural relations," he stated.
"Numerous cultural commonalties, shared language, religion, history and civilization, and particularly the two nations' shared feelings necessitate the expansion of bilateral cultural relations," the Iranian official reiterated.
Rahin, for his part, pointed to numerous commonalties between the Iranians and the Afghans, and said, "There are lots of unused potentials that can be facilitated in order to expand our bilateral relations."
Iran and Afghanistan enjoy expanding ties and cooperation and observers believe that the good achievements gained in area of their mutual cooperation should be deemed as a result of the efforts made by the two countries' leaders.
