Iranian Deputy FM: US, Israel Biggest Losers of Regional Uprisings

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for the Middle-East and Commonwealth Affairs Mohammad Reza Raouf Sheibani described the US and Israel as the biggest losers of revolutions and uprisings in the region.
"The US and the Zionist regime are the biggest losers in the regional revolutions since they have lost their strategic and traditional allies," Sheibani said in a meeting with a number of Palestinian resistance leaders here in Tehran on Tuesday.

He also termed popular uprisings against the US puppet regimes and the regional advocates of the Zionist regime a bright victory for the resistance, and said, "The new conditions in the region have created new potentials for the legitimate resistance of the Palestinian nation in their fight against the Zionist occupiers and for the materialization of Palestine's freedom cause and annihilation of the Zionist regime."

Sheibani further underlined that the Palestinian refugees' new moves along the borders of the occupied Palestinian territories and also the Golan Heights as well as the reopening of the Rafah border crossing all signify that the regional conditions are changing against the interests of the Zionist regime, and said Zionists are now faced with such new conditions and threats that they could never imagine before.

Earlier, a senior advisor to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution had underlined that Washington and Tel Aviv have failed to create their desired Middle-East due to the Islamic uprisings inspired by Iran's 1979 Islamic Revolution.

"The Islamic Middle-East has shaped up and the United States and Israel have been defeated in their scheme to form their own version of (a new) Middle-East," Supreme Leader's Advisor for Military Affairs Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi said earlier this week.
