GARUDA INDONESIA TO INCREASE FLIGHT FREQUENCY TO MALAYSIA

KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama) - Garuda Indonesia plans to increase flight
frequency between Indonesia and Malaysia in tandem with the airline's increase
in passenger load factor.

"We are going to increase the flight frequency between Malaysia and
Indonesia driven by the strong demand from customers for our routes," said
Garuda Indonesia General Manager for Malaysia Erwin Suharja after launching
LocalSIMKad, a partnership between Garuda Indonesia and Travelneeds2u, to offer
prepaid sim cards to passengers.

Travelneeds2u is a Multimedia Super Corridor status company specialising in
marketing and business development in the travel and tourism industry.

He said the airline's route between Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta was popular
among the business and golfing community due to the attractive packages the
airline offered.

The airline will also operate the new Boeing 737-800 aircraft on the Kuala
Lumpur-Jakarta sector, offering 162 seats in a two-class configuration, compared
with the previous 134 seat configuration on the Boeing 737-400.

"For the period between January and May, we achieved a 70 per cent
load factor for our routes between the two countries," he said, adding that the
current fleet of 737-800, would significantly increase the airline's capacity by
up to 40 per cent.
