M'SIA-KAZAKH COOPERATION IN ENHANCING WOMEN'S CAPACITY IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP

KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama) - The cooperation to enhance women's
capacity in entrepreneurship will be the main focus in Malaysia and Kazakhstan's
bilateral relations.

The matter was discussed during a meeting between Women, Family and
Community Development Minister Shahrizat Abdul Jalil and the
Kazakhstan Minister of Labour and Social Protection, Gulshara Abdykalikova, in
Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.

Shahrizat is on a working visit to Kazakhstan, where she is also attending
the Seventh World Islamic Economic Forum where she is a panel member of the
Business Women's Forum which is attended by businesswomen from 35 Islamic
countries.

A statement issued by the Women, Family and Community Development Ministry
here Tuesday stated that Malaysia and Kazakhstan concurred that women's capacity
in entrepreneurship could generate income for women.

It also said that the Malaysian and Kazakhstan governments had also agreed
in principle to forge bilateral ties in women development.
