HEALTH MINISTER WARNS
Health Minister Recep Akdag said regarding EHEC outbreak that killed several people in Europe that they were following developments and took necessary measures on the issue. Akdag said, "But EHEC bacteria could come to Turkey as well." Akdag warned citizens against EHEC bacteria and said that they should not eat salad out for example at restaurants. Vegetable must be washed well, he said. Germany, Britain, France, Spain, Switzerland, Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway and the United States are countries where the disease has occurred.
TERRORIST IN KASTAMONU SURRENDERS
One of PKK terrorists who attacked on convoy of the ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party when returning from Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's election rally in northern province of Kastamonu surrendered to security forces. One police officer died and one other was wounded in the attack.

An unbelievable incident took place in at Istanbul's Ataturk Airport in May. A person who wiretapped the tower of the airport gave directives to landing planes of Turkish Airlines to turn another place. The pilots changed the direction of the flight. The tower warned the pilots. The pirate wiretapper five minutes later wanted to give other directives, however air traffic controllers warned the planes and prevented a probable disaster.

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan criticized Peace & Democracy Party (BDP) in southeastern province of Adiyaman. Erdogan said BDP leaned back on terrorist organization, "shall I tolerate those who attacked police, children and Imams?" Erdogan asked.
Addressing the people in Mardin, Erdogan said, "there is Hollywood in the United States, Bollywood in India and now there will be Mardinwood in this city."
TEMPERATURES TO RISE
Temperatures will rise 2-4 degrees and will be at 31, 32 degrees Celsius which is above seasonal averages. However, it will rain on Friday and later will be at seasonal averages. Rain will particularly be influential in Edirne, Kirklareli and Tekirdag provinces.

Turkish President Abdullah Gul called for "change in Europe," saying global power balances had shifted. "The power balance has moved to Asia. It is time to re-think Europe. It is time for change," he told a conference as part his visit to Poland, which is set to assume the rotating helm of the European Union.
SUSPECTED PERP IN ATTACK ON PREMIER'S CONVOY SURRENDERS
A suspected attacker in an armed assault on a convoy of the Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan has turned himself in. The suspect was identified as Cihan T. The attack on the premier's election convoy in the Black Sea province of Kastamonu left one police officer dead.
