Border Guard in Najran Region seizes hashish

Najran, September 09, SPA -- A patrol affiliated to the Border Guard
in Najran Region has seized a quantity of hashish in a valley located
in the border area that falls within the scope of the patrols' task,
it was reported here today.

The Commander of Border Guard in Najran Region Major General Mohammed
Al-Zahrani said that while a patrol was performing its task in Saqam
Valley yesterday, it found 59 kilograms of hashish.

Al-Zahrani said that it is likely that several on-foot smugglers were
trying to bring this quantity into the Kingdom but they failed due to
the permanent presence of patrols in the mountainous border regions
and other locations.
