Russia participating in foreign trade exhibition in S Korea
SEOUL, June 9 (Itar-Tass) -- One of the biggest foreign trade
exhibitions of 2011 with the participation of Russia has opened in South
Korea. It is held by the Korean Importers Association which unites up to
7,000 companies. More than 30 countries of the world take part in the
current Import Goods Fair.
"This year the Russian Trade Mission has signed an agreement on
cooperation with the influential Korean Importers Association, within the
framework of which Russia was invited to the current fair. In many
respects it is connected with the growing volume of our trade with South
Korea which stands now at the level of 18 billion dollars. By 2015, we
plan to bring this index to 25 billion dollars," Russian trade
representative Mikhail Bondarenko told ITAR-TASS.
Russia is represented at the fair by Buryatia, the Khabarovsk
Territory, the Irkutsk Region, free economic zones and two economic
forums, including St. Petersburg.
"Our stand shows Russia's possibilities. This is our first, but not
last participation. Now possibilities of presenting a whole pavilion of
Russia next year are discussed with the Russian government. We want to
unite three Russian ministries: the ministries of regional development,
economic development, and industry and trade and next year prepare a
Russian pavilion here not worse than the Chinese one," Bondarenko stressed.
