MTV WORLD STAGE LIVE IN MSIA 2011 TO ATTRACT 15,000 FANS
KUALA LUMPUR, June 9 (Bernama) -- This year's edition of MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia 2011 at i-City, Shah Alam, is expected to attract at least
15,000 people.
The hour-long renowned event on July 24 will also be broadcast globally in
154 countries, reaching over 550 million households, said Viacom International
Media Networks Executive Vice-President and Managing Director of North and
Southeast Asia Indra Suharjono.
She said tickets for the concert will once again be on money-can't buy basis
and is availabe online via MTV, i-City and Celcom websites.
"We have tickets for 15,000 this year. Last year we also issued 15,000
tickets but we had additional 1,000 that came without tickets and we could not
turn them down," she said after representing MTV Networks Asia to sign the
memorandum of understanding with I-Berhad, the venue sponsor here, Thursday.
This is the third year the event is held in Malaysia.
This year's concert will feature four groups of performers including
Malaysia's Pop Shuvit. American rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars has also
confirmed to perform.
The organiser is expected to announce another two bands one each from Korea
and United States next week.

from Kuala Lumpur.
