GATE OF LIFE
The number of Syrians, who escaped from Assad administration and took shelter in Turkey, reached 2,700 in the last 48 hours. Turkish Red Crescent launched initiatives to set up a second tent city in the region. Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Turkey was following the developments very closely, and added, "we especially attach importance to Friday and Sunday." Meanwhile, Turkey Office of the United Nations High Commission for Refugees stated that it was ready to help if the government asked. Turkey, which decided not to close its doors against migration move from Syria, is discussing about the measures which will be taken during a worst case scenario. A buffer zone may be shaped in the border, if hundreds of thousands of Syrians want to take shelter in Turkey.

DEMOLISHMENT STOPS DUE TO MONEY
Activities, which began to demolish the "Humanity Monument" in the northeastern province of Kars on April 25, stopped due to lack of money. Workers, who cut 70 percent of the monument so far, stopped working as they have not been paid money.

100 MLN USD FROM TURKEY TO LIBYA
Former Libyan Foreign Minister Abdurrahman Muhammed Salgam, one of the leading names in the opposition in Libya, called for help to be able to pay salaries as well as provide food in Benghazi. Turkey became one of the first countries which responded to the call. Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said Turkey would send 100 million USD to Libya.

THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE ON WAY
The number of people, who escaped from Syria to Turkey with the fear of massacre, exceeded 2,500. More people are on the way. Soldiers are getting closer to Syrian town Jisr al-Shughour which turned into a ghost town. Syrians, who were afraid of an attack and fled from the town, are arriving near Turkish border in every 15 minutes. The number of Syrian refugees, who are settled in tent city in border province of Hatay in Turkey, reached 2,500. However, thousands of Syrians are waiting in the other side of the border. Refugees in Hatay said that tanks besieged the town and 30,000 soldiers were deployed in a nearby village. Refugees also said, "they cut our electricity and poisoned the waters. They dropped bombs on us from helicopters." On the other hand, Syrian officials said that the soldiers were there for peace.

BANKRUPT NEIGHBOR'S GOODS EXCITE TURKISH BUSINESSPEOPLE
Turkey's bankrupt neighbor Greece's goods have excited Turkish businesspeople. Turkish entrepreneurs are interested in the privatization projects of Greece that are worth around 50 billion Euros. Many Turkish companies in the sectors of tourism, marina, airports, energy and distribution are targeting Greece for new investments.

I WOULD NOT BE SURPRISED IF WE SOLD 300 AIRPLANES TO TURKEY IN 10 YEARS, SAYS BOEING'S BASILE
A senior official of Boeing Commercial Planes in Europe, Aldo Basile, said that the developments in northern Africa would not have a negative impact on orders of new airplanes in the long run. Answering a question, Basile said that he would not be surprised if they sold 300 airplanes to Turkey in the next 10 years.
