U.S. TO TURKEY: BOMB LIBYA!
The United States demanded from Turkey to participate in air bombing of Libya. Turkish National Defense Minister Vecdi Gonul gave a negative response to such a demand. The demand of the U.S. came from Secretary of Defense Robert Gates. In a meeting in Brussels, Gates criticized Turkey, Netherlands, Spain, Germany and Poland for not participating in air bombing of Libya. Gonul told Gates that Turkey had a principled decision not to participate in the "No Fly Zone".
TURKEY EXTENDS SUPPORT TO LIBYAN OPPOSITION
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said Thursday that Turkey would provide 100 million USD to the Libyan opposition as assistance. Speaking to reporters in Abu Dhabi where a meeting of the Libya Contact Group took place, Davutoglu said that Libya had a great need for humanitarian assistance including schools and hospitals.

People, who are afraid of a retaliation after killing of 120 police officers in Syria, are escaping to Turkey. Nearly 2,500 Syrians took shelter in Turkey in the last 24 hours. A Syrian refugee said, "they cut our electricity and poisoned the waters. They dropped bombs on us from helicopters. We were able to escape only by having our loved ones with us." Syrians, whose demand to take shelter in Turkey were accepted, settled in tent city set up by Red Crescent in Yayladagi town of southern province of Hatay.

Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Kemal Kilicdaroglu announced his party's report on women after Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan abolished the Ministry on Women & Family. The report gives commitments to set up Equality Ministry, pursuing zero tolerance policy in violence towards women, establishing at least one shelter house in every town and opening day care centers for all children in order to help women participate in working life.
