RF-PRC trade in 2011 to reach $70 bln - RF ambassador.

BEIJING, June 10 (Itar-Tass) -- Judging by the results of the first
half of the year, Russian-Chinese trade may reach this year the level of
70 billion dollars, ambassador of Russia to China Sergei Razov told a
press conference on Friday.
"In the first half of 2011 trade continued growing, and if such rates
will remain bilateral trade may reach the level of 70 billion dollars," he
said.
The diplomat recalled that in 2010 the volume of bilateral trade
amounted to 59 billion dollars. Thus China for the first time became the
biggest foreign trade partner of Russia. The top leaders of Russia and
China, as Razov said, "speak already about reaching the level of 100
billion dollars by 2015." According to him, there is a big field of
activities for trade and investment companies.
The ambassador specially pointed to the achievements in the field of
energy. As of January 1, as he said, the Russian-Chinese oil pipeline
began working to full capacity through which 6.25 million tonnes of oil
were pumped "in strict accordance with the signed agreement" before June
1. In the near future, an experimental fast neutron reactor, which was
designed by Russian specialists, will be launched here. After that China
alongside with Russia and Japan will be among the three countries where
such reactors are operating.
"Just a few days ago the construction of the fourth stage of the
gas-centrifuge uranium enriching plant has been concluded in China," Razov
added.
