MAXIS' MISSED SMS NOTIFICATION SERVICE PICKS UP GTB AWARD

KUALA LUMPUR, June 10 (Bernama) -- Maxis Bhd has received the 2011 Global
Telecoms Business (GTB) Innovation Award for its innovative SMS service.

It is a flash-based SMS service that notifies senders when their SMS is
undelivered and the reason for the failed delivery, allowing customers to
receive more than just a standard delivery notification.

The company received the award together with its partner for the service,
Acision, at the GTB Innovation Awards dinner held in London on Tuesday.

Maxis was the only Malaysian company to be recognised at the awards,
according to a statement from the integrated communications service provider.

"This win will further push us to introduce more innovative products and
offerings that will enrich our customers' lives," said Maxis chief operating
officer Jean-Pascal van Overbeke.
