Iranian Security Forces Kill 4 Terrorists, Arrest 3

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian security forces killed four terrorists and arrested three others in the Western part of the country, the Iranian intelligence ministry announced.
"Four members of the terrorist groups have been killed and three others arrested in the regions of Kordestan and West Azarbaijan in an operation carried out by intelligence and security forces over the past two nights," Intelligence Minister Heidar Moslehi said on Thursday.

The terrorists had attacked road workers and wounded a number of them in the past, the minister said without further explanation.

Iran announced on Wednesday that it has arrested two fugitive terrorists in areas near the town of Sarvabad in the country's Western province of Kurdistan in a joint operation of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) and security forces.

According to a statement released by the IRGC in Kurdistan, the two fugitives were chased and arrested near Baridar and Harsin villages near Sarvabad on Tuesday.

The IRGC chase first started on Sunday, two days after the terrorist cell killed a prominent member of the Basij (volunteer) force in Andiman village before the eyes of his wife and child.

The IRGC forces could identify and trace the cell members and disbanded the group after armed clashes.

IRGC officials later announced that two of the terrorists could escape the scene while others were killed or arrested after an abrupt crossfire.
