Persian mag holds discussion on Italian art books
TEHRAN, June 11 (MNA) -- The Bokhara literary magazine has dedicated its 84th cultural program to discussing the latest art books printed by the Italian publishing company, Franco Maria Ricci.
The program was held on Wednesday night at the Farzan-Ruz Publications and was attended by several officials and literati.
Italian ambassador to Tehran Alberto Bradanini, Italian cultural counselor Carlo Cereti and Farzan-Ruz Publications director Turaj Ettehadieh and translator Dariush Shayegan were among the participants.
The session focused on the books released by the Italian publisher Franco Maria Ricci which is known for publishing limited editions honoring particular independent artists.
At the meeting, the editor-in-chief of the Bokhara Magazine, Ali Dehbashi, spoke briefly on Maria Ricci as a “precious publisher that has released books inspired by the rich art heritage and beautiful nature of Italy.”
The individual characteristics of these books originate from the professionalism of the photographers who captured the images for these books as well as the use of high quality paper and modern publishing techniques, he said.
After that, Italy’s ambassador to Tehran Alberto Bradanini made a speech introducing Franco Maria Ricci publications and expressing his thanks for the efforts of Dehbashi in holding such events.
He praised Maria Ricci publications for releasing books with beautiful appearance and rich with individual quality of form as well as of their contents.
He expressed his hope over expanding cooperation with Iran’s Farzan-Ruz Publications and for translation of books from one language to another.
The Franco Maria Ricci publication has dedicated a series of books to the Pietro Della Valle Italian School of Tehran which is open to the public for the enjoyment of these books, he concluded.
The head of the Farzan-Ruz Publication Turaj Ettehadieh also spoke during the event and introduced those publications which focus on the history of Persia and the history of art.
The session was cosponsored by the Bokhara Literary Magazine, the Embassy of Italy in Tehran and Farzan-Ruz Publications.
