Hu's visit to take Kazakhstan-China relations to new level - pres

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev
has described the visit of his Chinese counterpart Hu Jintao to the
Central Asian republic as a milestone event for Kazakh people.
"We've been impatiently waiting for your visit. This is a milestone
event for our people," he said in his opening remarks to the talks with
the Chinese leader on Monday.
Nazarbayev expressed the hope that "fundamental documents will be
adopted as a result of the talks that will take the two countries'
cooperation to a new level."
The Kazakh leader noted that Hu's visit to Kazakhstan is "historical"
as it takes place on the eve of the 10 anniversary of the Shanghai
Cooperation Organization and the 20th anniversary of the republic's
independence.
