Search for missing man and small boy under way in Magadan reg.

MAGADAN, June 14 (Itar-Tass) - A search is under way along Seimchan
River for a small boy and his father. The incident occurred on the river
26 km from Seimchan Village on Monday.
A three-member family, steering a boat along the river, failed to cope
with the current and the boat capsized. The woman managed to get to
safety, whereas the fate of her husband and a 2.5 year-old son is unknown.
A message to this effect reached the Far Eastern regional center of the
Russian Ministry for Emergencies on Tuesday.
An operational group from the fire prevention garrison, Seimchan
District police, and specialists of the fire rescue center of Magadan
Region immediately lefr to the scene of the incident. The search is
involving, all in all, 20 people and six units of machinery. The crews of
air vehicles flying over the area have been notified about the accident on
the river.
