MINISTER TO LEAD TRADE MISSION TO JAKARTA
Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and
Consumerism Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob will lead a trade mission to Jakarta from June 17 to 21.
He is expected to be accompanied by entrepreneurs and businessmen from Malaysian cooperatives, small and medium enterprises, and franchise companies.
Through this mission, the Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry will part in the International Franchise, License and Business Concept Expo and Conference 2011 and Taste of Malaysia programme at Carrefour Permata Hijau in South Jakarta.
"Besides, the delegation will also make courtesy calls on Indonesia's Trade Minister Dr Mari Elka Pangestu and Cooperatives and SMEs Minister Dr Syarief Hasan," the ministry said in a statement Tuesday.
Ismail Sabri is also scheduled to visit franchise outlets of Malaysian companies like SABA Islamic, Old Town White Coffee dan CSL.
"He will also witness the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Malaysian Cooperative Commission and the Indonesian Cooperatives and SMEs Ministry," it added.
