SCOMI MARINE TERMINATES PROPOSED EQUITY DISPOSAL
Scomi Marine Bhd (SMB)'s unit, Scomi Marine Services Pte Ltd (SMS), has entered into a deed of mutual termination, discharge and release with Portside Offshore Inc and PT Revessel Indonesia (PTRI).
The venture is to mutually terminate the Master Framework Agreement (MFA) in relation to the proposed disposal of SMS's entire equity interest in CH Logistics Pte Ltd, Grundtvig Marine Pte Ltd and Goldship Pte Ltd, as well as, their respective subsidiaries to PT Rig Tenders Indonesia Tbk.
"Under the deed announced June 15 2011, SMS, Portside and PTRI are mutually released from all their respective rights, obligations, liabilities and undertakings under the MFA.
"Scomi Marine will continue to engage with parties who have shown interest to become potential partners to undertake a similar proposal," President of SMB Mukhnizam Mahmud said in a statement Wednesday.
