Nine documents signed after Russian-Chinese summit talks


MOSCOW, June 16 (Itar-Tass) - Nine documents, including on energy
cooperation, were signed on the result of summit talks between the Russian
and Chinese presidents, Dmitry Medvedev and Hu Jintao, on Thursday.
The two leaders passed a joint statement on the current situation in
the world and on main international issues, as well as a statement in
connection with the tenth anniversary of the Good-Neighbourly Treaty of
Friendship and Cooperation between the Russian Federation and the People's
Republic of China.
A framework agreement between the Russian energy agency Inter RAO UES
(Unified Energy System) and China National Bio Energy on setting up a
joint venture was signed in the presence of the two presidents.
Besides, a memorandum on cooperation was signed between Russia's
Vnesheconombank (VEB) and the Chinese State Development Bank. VEB and the
Industrial and Commercial Bank of China signed a memorandum on
understanding.
A framework agreement in the energy sphere and in the sphere of
development of resources was signed between En Group and the Export-Import
Bank of China.
An agreement on cooperation on the investment project for the
construction of a plant producing automobile glass in Russia's Kaluga
region was signed between the regional government and the Chinese Fuyao
Glass Industry Group.
A shareholder agreement was signed between the Territorial Generating
Company 2 joint stock company and China's Huadian state corporation.
Russia's Financial Corporation Sistema and Chinese ZTE corporation
have agreed to set up a joint venture for the production of high-tech
products, including for the Russian GLONASS system.
