China, Russia to develop relations in next ten years - China pres.

MOSCOW, June 16 (Itar-Tass) - Over the past ten years, from the
signing of the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation, Chinese-Russian
relations were marked by the "unprecedented level of development, bringing
tangible advantages to our peoples," Chinese President Hu Jintao told a
press conference after the Russian-Chinese summit on Thursday.
Regarding the prospects for development of bilateral relations, the
Chinese president noted that "the sides will increase interaction and
strengthen relations of strategic partnership under the principles of
respect and equality." "Traditional relations of friendship between our
peoples must be passed on from one generation to another," he stressed.
"With our joint efforts relations between the two countries and peoples
will be strengthening and developing," Hu Jintao said.
He said the next ten years "will be the time of important chances to
speed up development of bilateral relations.
