MALAYSIAN KING RECEIVES VISIT FROM ABU DHABI CROWN PRINCE

KUALA LUMPUR, 17 Jun (Bernama) -- Malaysian King Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin and his consort Tuanku Nur Zahirah Friday received a visit from the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at Istana Negara (National Palace).

The royal audience lasting 30 minutes from 10.30am was in conjunction with the crown prince's one-day official visit to Malaysia.

During the audience, Tuanku Mizan conferred the Seri Maharaja Mangku Negara (S.M.N)(Honarary) award to Sheikh Mohammed which carries the title 'Tun'.

Also present were Prime Minister Najib Razak and wife Rosmah Mansor and Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Nor Mohamed Yakcop.

Sheikh Mohammed arrived at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 9.30am and was welcomed on arrival by Nor Mohamed and Deputy Foreign Minister Senator A. Kohilan Pillay.
