Iranian VP Felicitates Nomination of New Haitian PM
TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian First Vice-President Mohammad Reza Rahimi in a message on Saturday extended his congratulations to Daniel-Gerard Rouzier on his nomination as Haiti's new prime minister.
"I sincerely congratulate your nomination as Haitian Prime Minister," Rahimi said in a message.
"I hope we could witness expansion of bilateral relations during your term-in-office," Rahimi added.
Rouzier, who has never before held public office, was nominated by Haitian President Michel Martelly to be prime minister. But he must be confirmed by the Senate.
