Ahmadinejad Slams Capitalism for Global Environmental Degradation
TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Saturday blamed the insatiable thirst of the capitalist system for damaging the world environment.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony of the National Environment Protection Plan, President Ahmadinejad called environment protection a main issue of the human society, and described capitalists' greed as the most hostile enemy of the environment.
"…they (capitalists) have no respect for natural values and natural boundaries and they have damaged all human and environmental relations to fill the endless pockets of the corrupt and inhumane capitalists," he noted.
He added that capitalists have increased consumption in the world through fabricated propaganda and advertisement to sell their products and they destroy environment to that end.
