S. Korea, Sweden to hold defense talks
SEOUL (Yonhap) - The defense ministers of South Korea and Sweden will hold talks in Seoul this week to promote cooperation and discuss regional security issues, the South's Defense Ministry said Monday.
Sweden's Defense Minister Sten Tolgfors arrived in Seoul on Sunday for a four-day visit at the invitation of South Korean Defense Minister Kim Kwan-jin.
The Tuesday talks between Kim and Tolgfors are "expected to win support for our defense policies from northern European nations," the ministry said in a statement.
On Monday, Tolgfors was scheduled to meet with South Korean Foreign Minister Kim Sung-hwan and top presidential security adviser Chun Yung-woo, it said.
