Pakistan's Missile Attacks Kill 10, Displace 300 Afghan Families
TEHRAN (FNA)- Senior officials of Afghanistan's Northeastern Kunar province complained that at least 10 people have been killed and over 300 families have already been displaced by the missile attacks launched from the Pakistani soil against the country.
"Most of the missile attacks targeted Shigol and Sarkani regions and the residents of these regions have now left their homes and taken refuge in safe regions," Kunar Governor Fazlollah Vahidi told FNA on Monday.
He reiterated that a delegation comprising Afghan and Pakistani authorities as well as foreign forces have been dispatched to the area to investigate the issue.
Vahidi referred to intensified clashes between Taliban fighters and the Pakistani forces in recent days, and said the missile attacks might have been induced by increased Taliban attacks on Pakistani forces.
