MALAYSIAN PM'S WIFE ROSMAH RECEIVES COURTESY CALL FROM WIVES OF LID LEADERS

PUTRAJAYA (Bernama) - The prime minister's wife, Rosmah Mansor
Monday received a courtesy call from wives of three Langkawi International
Dialogue (LID) leaders at Seri Perdana here, the official residence of the prime
minister.

They were wives of Tanzanian President, Salma Kikwete, wife of Lesotho Prime
Minister, Mathato Mosisili and wife of Kenyan Vice-President, Pauline K.Kolonzo.

Rosmah greeted them on arrival at about 5pm.

Present were Women, Family and Community Development Minister Shahrizat
Abdul Jalil and wives of several Malaysian cabinet ministers.

Rosmah in her speech hoped that all of them would spread the news about
Malaysia and tell their friends to visit the country.

"I hope I will be able to see you again. Please tell all your friends that
Malaysia is really a beautiful country, full of friendly people. We are warm, we
have hot food and hot music," she added.

She said leaders' wives should take care of the welfare of women and
children in their country.

"Our duty is really to take care of women and children to make sure that
they grow up to be good citizens and could provide good human capital to spur
the growth of our countries further," she said.

Meanwhile, Salma Kikwete in her speech, invited a Malaysian delegation to
visit Tanzania to know more about the country.
