Hana Financial inks business tie-up with Indonesian bank
SEOUL, June 22 (Yonhap) -- Hana Financial Group Inc., South Korea's No. 4 banking group, said Wednesday it has signed a preliminary agreement to forge a strategic partnership with Indonesia's Bank Central Asia (BCA).
Hana Financial Group said the deal will pave the way for Hana Bank's unit in Indonesia to tap automatic teller machine networks held by BCA.
The group added that it will soon be able to issue credit cards targeting Koreans living in the Southeast Asian country because it is allowed to share the card brand with BCA, which has the license to do card business.
BCA, Indonesia's third-largest by assets, held 41 trillion won (US$38.2 billion) in total assets.
