Party, state leaders and state institution representatives pay homage to Comrade Nouhak Phoumsavanh

(KPL) The Party and State leaders and representatives of mass organisations of the Party and State on 10 September, in turn, paid homage to Comrade Nouhak Phoumsavanh, who died at 23:00 hours on 9 September.
The body of this wise and able Lao politician was laid in state at the National Assembly.
The senior officials of the Executive Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party Central Committee, representatives of the National Assembly, of the Lao Government, and of the central Lao Front for National Construction laying wreaths to pay homage to Mr. Nouhak Phoumsavanh were led by Comrade Choummaly Sayasone, Secretary General of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party Central Committee (LPRP CC) and President of the Lao PDR; Comrade Khamtay Siphandone, former LPRP Secretary-General; Comrade Thongsing Thammavong, LPRP CC Politburo member and President of the National Assembly, Comrade Bouasone Bouphavanh, LPRP CC Politburo member and Prime Minister; Comrade Sisavath Keobounphanh, LPRP CC Politburo member and President of the central Lao Front for National Construction.
In addition, the representatives of different ministries and Party and State institutions attending the homage-paying ceremony included those from the National Assembly, the Government, the central Lao Front for National Construction and the family of the former President Khamtay Siphandone, and the ministries of Information and Culture, and Education.
The funeral of Comrade Nouhak Phoumsavanh will be organised in Vientiane on 14 September.
