KUALA LUMPUR, June 22 (Bernama) -- House of Representative Speaker Pandikar
Amin Mulia Wednesday received a courtesy call from the Iranian ambassador to
Malaysia, Prof Dr Mohammad Mehdi Zahedi, at his office at Parliament House.
According to an official source, the visit aimed to establish closer ties
between both countries and exchange thoughts on various matters.
Talks would also be directed towards setting up a Parliamentary Friendship
Group between Iran and Malaysia to strengthen their parliamentary relationship.
During the hour-long meeting, Dr Mohammad Mehdi also took the opportunity to
invite Pandikar for a visit to Iran in the future.
