Moscow pays compensations to relatives of air crash victims.
MOSCOW, June 24 (Itar-Tass) -- The capital city of Moscow will begin
on Friday to pay compensations to the relatives of the killed and to the
injured in the air crash near Petrozavodsk.
The social protection department said one million rubles (34 thousand
dollars) will be paid for each killed passenger of the flight and 500
thousand rubles to every survivor.
The Tuesday crash of a Tu-134 aircraft bound from Moscow to
Petrozavodsk in Karelia killed 45 people and left seven survivors.
The department said it will also finance funeral services worth 39
thousand rubles.
On Thursday 25 bodies were airlifted from Petrozavodsk to Moscow
onboard an Il-76 plane of the emergency ministry.
