SHANGHAI EXPO'S CHINA PAVILION EXHIBITION TO EXTEND FOR THREE MONTHS

SHANGHAI, June 24 (Bernama) -- The Shanghai Expo's China Pavilion that was
closed on May 31, 2011 would be extended for three months due to the
overwhelming response from the public.

The Expo Bureau announced Thursday the pavilion will reopen from July 12
until Oct 9 this year.

The pavilion, also known as the "Crown of the East", was reopened from Dec
1, 2010 to May 31, 2011, after the end of the Shanghai Expo in October last
year.

The bureau said the pavilion attracted about 32,000 visitors every day
during its first reopening period.

During the six-month exhibition, it received over 5.7 million visitors.

Ticket prices remain at 20 yuan (about US$3.10) for adults and 15 yuan
(about US$2.30) for students, disabled, military servicemen and senior citizens.

The pavilion will be open from Tuesday to Sunday.
