AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL PRESIDENT OF ENGINEERS TO DELIVER KEYNOTE ADDRESS
KUALA LUMPUR, June 24 (Bernama) -- Australia's National President of
Engineers Merv Lindsay is one of the keynote speakers at the three-day Asean
Australian Engineering Congress 2011 to be held in Kuching, Sarawak state,
beginning July 25.
Congress organising chairman Dennis Ong said Lindsay would present a paper,
'Humanitarian Engineering in a Community Context' at the event which would
deliberate a wide range of topics, including climate change sustainable
buildings and green technology.
Senior Executive for Singapore's Development, Building and Construction
Authority Lee Sui Fung, and Dr Tom Conner, from Kellogg Brown and Root
Australia, were also confirmed as keynote speakers, he said in statement issued
here today.
The congress, themed ‘Engineering for Sustainability’, is jointly organised
by Engineers Australia, Malaysia Chapter and Swinburne University of Technology,
Sarawak Campus, Kuching.
Sarawak Chief Minister Abdul Taib Mahmud will deliver opening remarks on
'Engineering for Sustainability', while Energy, Green Technology and Water
Minister Peter Chin Fah Kui will open the congress.
