RAPIDKL TO LAUNCH 'FAJAR BUS SERVICE' FROM SEPT 15

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 11 (Bernama) - Starting Sept 15, Rangkaian Pengangkutan Intergrasi Deras Sdn Bhd (RapidKL) will launch a new service called "Fajar Bus Service".

Its general manager of communication, Ebi Azly Abdullah, said in a
statement Wednesday that the new service would commence as early as 5.10am for
some routes to cater for those who wish to commute early to avoid the rush-hour
congestion.

He said the service would be carried out on a trial basis to determine
the demand and become permanent if it received encouraging response from the
commuters.

The new service including route T301 and T307 from Telekom Malaysia (TM)
Taman Melawati to Giant Hulu Klang and from TM Taman Melawati to Dato' Keramat
LRT station will depart at 5.10am.

Routes T330 (TM Taman Melawati-Dato' Keramat LRT station), T302 (TM Taman
Melawati-Section 10, Wangsa Maju), T304 (SRKJ (T) Taman Melawati-Taman Melawati
bus hub), T309 (TM Taman Melawati-AU3 Jentayu bus hub), T312 (Seri Putri
Apartments, Ukay Perdana-Wangsa Maju LRT station and TM Taman
Melawati-Dato' Keramat LRT station) will depart at 5.15am.

The buses that will depart at 5.20am include Routes U40 (Maluri bus
hub-Kajang Terminal) and U80 (Batu 3 police station, Shah Alam-Central Market
bus hub).

Routes T201 (Taman Melawati bus depot-Giant Hulu Klang) and T320 (Emerald
Hill, Jalan Bukit Indah Utama-Ampang Point), U1 and U10 (Cycle &
Carriage, Jalan Perusahaan-Pinggiran Batu Caves) and U12 (Cycle & Carriage,
Jalan Perusahaan-Batu 12, Jalan Gombak) will depart at 5.30am.

Routes U41 (PNMB, Jalan Chan Sow Lin-Pasar Seni bus hub) will depart at
5.45am and T305 (Seri Putri Apartments, Ukay Perdana-Wangsa Maju LRT
station) will depart at 6am.
