Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan's Presidents Pledge Further Cooperation

TEHRAN (FNA)- Presidents of Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan, during their tripartite meeting here in Tehran, underlined the necessity for further cooperation among neighboring countries.
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari, and Afghan President Hamid Karzai urged close cooperation among regional countries in order to bring peace and security to the Middle-East.

They pledged to expand their cooperation in political, security, economic and cultural areas, as well as fighting terrorism and foreign interventions.

The three presidents also said that foreign countries should not intervene in the internal affairs of the Middle-East countries.

Pakistani and Afghan presidents are in Tehran for participating in the International Conference on Global Fight against Terrorism.

In addition to Zardari and Karzai, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, Iraqi President Jalal Talabani, and Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir arrived in Tehran on Friday to attend the event.
