S. Korea urges swift investigation of murders of two Koreans in Japan

SEOUL (Yonhap) - South Korea asked Japan's police investigators to thoroughly and swiftly investigate the alleged murder of two South Korean women in Japan, a foreign ministry official said Sunday.
The request was made shortly after a 61-year-old South Korean woman and her 27-year-old daughter were found dead Saturday with several stab wounds at their house in Osaka .
"The ministry asked Japan's police authorities to fairly and swiftly investigate the case through its consulate in Osaka shortly after the case took place," the official said, asking not to be identified.
The 61-year-old, identified by her surname Kim, has at least one more daughter, who was away at work on the day of the alleged murders.
