Ahmadinejad Urges Change in Current "Unjust" World Order

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad dismissed the current world order as "unjust", and urged a structural change in the international system.
"The existing problems will not be solved while oppression and discrimination exist in the world," Ahmadinejad stated in a meeting with visiting Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir here in Tehran on Sunday.
He pointed to the recent developments in the region, and said, "Today is the best chance for such a change."
President Ahmadinejad further called on nations to keep vigilant and prevent enemies from replacing their previous rulers through misleading slogans and in new forms.
Elsewhere, Ahmadinejad urged cooperation among the regional nations to eliminate the root causes of terrorism, and noted, "The regional nations and states will not witness tranquility while the inauspicious phenomenon of terrorism continues to exist."
During the meeting, Bashir said that the Tehran conference on terrorism shed light on the root causes of terrorist operations.
He added that Sudan shares Iran's view about campaign against terrorism.
The First International Conference on Global Fight against Terrorism officially started work here in Tehran on Saturday with several high-ranking officials and international figures in attendance.
The event has brought together senior officials from at least 60 countries, and representatives from several international organizations, including the UN.
The event is aimed at increasing international convergence and coordination in fighting terrorism.
