MP Views Economic Pressures as Enemy's Main Tactic to Stop Iran's Growth
TEHRAN (FNA)- A senior member of the Iranian parliament lauded the country's resistance against the different tactics used by the West to undermine Iran's growth, saying that enemies have now waged an all-out economic war on country.
Speaking in an economic meeting in Iran's Northern city of Qazvin, Iranian parliament's First Vice-Speaker Mohammad Hassan Aboutorabi-Fard said that a key problem for the developing countries is the challenges and hurdles placed by the developed countries in the way of economic growth in these countries.
He added that economic powers are creating restrictions for the developing countries in a bid to widen the gap between the developed and under-developed nations.
The lawmaker further stated that hegemonic powers have waged an all-out economic war on the Islamic Republic as part of the same scenario to stop Iran's growth.
Meantime, Aboutorabi-Fard said that the Islamic Republic of Iran had been able to withstand such economic pressures due to its unique advantages in energy and talented human resources.
Late in May, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei cautioned that the domineering powers now seek to deal a blow to the Islamic Republic by torpedoing the economy.
The leader stated that enemies have overtly focused on Iran's economy and seek to frustrate people by paralyzing the economy.
