Anti-Zionist Rabbi Lauds Religious Freedom in Iran
TEHRAN (FNA)- A prominent anti-Zionist Jewish rabbi praised religious freedom in Iran, and further appreciated the Iranian Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, for differentiating Judaism from Zionism.
"Iran under the leadership of Ayatollah Khamenei is the sole country in the world that differentiates between Zionism and Jewish thoughts and treat its Jewish community properly," Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss told FNA on the sidelines of the International Conference on Global Fight against Terrorism here in Tehran.
He added that Zionism as an ideology underlying the Israeli government is like a "cancerous tumor" which has afflicted not only the region, but also the Jewish community.
Rabbi Weis, who is the spokesman of the anti-Zionist Neturei Karta Movement, further said that he is in Tehran to declare Israel as the real symbol of state-sponsored terrorism.
He further blasted the massacre of the innocent people by the Zionist regime of Israel, and added that the move is against the teachings of the holy Torah.
Rabbi Weis, accompanied by a delegation of anti-Zionist Jewish rabbis from the Neturei Karta movement, arrived in Tehran on Saturday to attend the two-day anti-terrorism conference.
Presidents, prime ministers, foreign ministers and the ministers in charge of terrorism as well as counter-terrorism experts from 60 world countries and international organizations were present in the event.
