Laos, Vietnam enhance investment cooperation
(KPL ) The two ministries of investment and planning of Vietnam and Laos have signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation for 2011, which stressed the building of a Vietnam-Laos cooperative strategy.
The MoU, signed during a current working visit to Laos by Minister of Investment and Planning Vo Hong Phuc, includes the training of economic planning managers for the Lao planning sector and dispatch of experts and lecturers to help Laos teach and compile curriculum.
During his stay in Laos from June 24-27, Minister Phuc was received by Lao Prime Minister Thongsin Thammvong, who assured his country’s intention to create conditions for effective cooperation of both sides’
enterprises.
The Lao PM highly valued Vietnam ’s effective investment and cooperation in Laos and said he hoped the two countries would enhance cooperation in the fields of their strength, helping bring more efficiency.
Minister Phuc said the two sides would increase cooperation in many areas, and work closely with the two countries’ cooperative sub-committees to implement the building of the bilateral cooperative strategy.
They will continue to cooperate in training under different forms, step up comprehensive cooperation in investment and planning, closely coordinate in organising investment promotion activities and clear obstacles for licensed investment projects.
