KAI set to debut on Seoul bourse this week

SEOUL, June 28 (Yonhap) -- Korea Aerospace Industries Ltd. (KAI), South Korea's leading aircraft maker, will start trading its shares on the Seoul main stock index this week, the local bourse operator said Tuesday.
The Korea Exchange (KRX) said in an e-mailed statement that KAI will list 97,475,107 shares on the main bourse on Thursday. The initial share price will be set in the 90-200 percent range of the firm's initial public offering (IPO) price of 15,500 won (US$14.30), according to the KRX.
KAI said earlier that it will use the proceeds from the IPO on facility investments as it is pushing for overseas expansion.
Established in 1999, the company's main shareholders include state-run policy lender Korea Finance Corp., top automaker Hyundai Motor Co. and precision machinery maker Samsung Techwin Co.
The aircraft manufacturer posted a net profit of 78.8 billion won on revenue of 1.27 trillion won in 2010.
