IRGC Commander: US, Israel Spearheading Terrorist Attacks in World
TEHRAN (FNA)- A senior commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) blamed the US and Israel for sponsoring and directing terrorist operations around the globe, stressing that Washington and Tel Aviv play not only the main, but the pioneering role in assassinating innocent people.
"All major and important assassinations in the world are carried out by the Americans and Israelis," Brigadier General Esmae'il Qa'ani said on Tuesday night.
He reiterated that the US and the Zionist regime also misuse the word "terrorist" and attribute it to anyone they think is an obstacle in the way of their goals and plots.
Earlier, a senior advisor to the Lebanese foreign minister had also lambasted the US for supporting terrorist groups, and said Washington uses terrorists as an instrument to attain its goals in the region.
"The US is fully utilizing terrorist groups, specially in the Middle-East, but it does not act in this area directly," Wasim Wahabeh told FNA on Tuesday.
"Many organized terrorist groups are instruments in the hands of the US in the Middle-East region," he added.
