Kazakhstan prolongs ban on export of fuel.
ASTANA, June 30 (Itar-Tass) -- The government of Kazakhstan has
adopted an ordinance on prolonging the ban on exports of fuel and
lubricants until the end of this year, Deputy Minister of Oil and Gas of
the republic Lyazzat Kiinov told journalists on Thursday.
Earlier, Kazakhstan's government adopted a decision to ban exports of
fuel and lubricants until July 1. Now the embargo is prolonged for another
six months.
According to Kiinov, the ban was introduced with the aim of
"preventing the deficit of fuel and lubricants in the internal market." He
also said that the Pavlodar oil refinery - - one of the country's three
refineries is under repair.
