S.Korea shows interest in tourist cluster in NCaucasus.

MOSCOW, June 30 (Itar-Tass) -- Following Frenchmen and Austrians,
investors from South Korea may join the creation of a tourist cluster in
the North Caucasus. This issue will be discussed during a visit of a
delegation of the biggest energy company of Korea KEPCO to Russia in early
July.
During the preliminary consultations, Korean investors already
expressed their interest in investments in the energy sphere of the North
Caucasus. During the forthcoming talks with the OAO Resorts of North
Caucasus the sides will coordinate the parameters of possible cooperation.
KEPCO is one of the biggest electric power companies of South Korea.
It generates 87 percent of energy in the country, supplying it to 12
million house holdings.
The company is widely represented in the international energy market,
in particular, in China, the Philippines, Jordan, Lebanon, Nigeria,
Canada, Australia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Kazakhstan.
The project of development of the tourist cluster in Russia's south
includes the construction of five mountain-skiing resorts in the Krasnodar
Territory and Adygeya, Karachai-Cherkessia, Kabardino-Balkaria, North
Ossetia and Dagestan, as well as terminal and beach clusters. According to
plans, the total volume of investments in the project over 10 years may
amount to about one trillion roubles and it envisages a stage-by-stage
creation in the region of about 300,000 jobs. French and Austrian
investors have already begun studying the project.
