HERBAL ASIA 2011 TO FOCUS ON TRADE OPPORTUNITIES
KUALA LUMPUR, June 30 (Bernama) -- Herbal Asia 2011 will focus on trade
opportunities for Malaysian herbal entrepreneurs.
"We expect more trade buyers for Malaysian herbal products at this
exhibition," said Herbal Asia Chief Executive Officer Safinah Yaakob in a press
conference here Thursday.
She said the 7th edition of the Asian premier herbal trade show from July 13
to 15 at the Putra World Trade was expected to draw 10,000 visitors with the
United Arab Emirates, India, Sri Lanka, Singapore and Yemen joining the
exhibition.
"We expect more value to every transaction even though this year we only
have 70 booths compared to last year's 300 booths," she said.
She said Malaysian herbal entrepreneurs should be smart in finding
opportunities during the show through good networking with assistance from the
Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation.
"This year, our herbal entrepreneurs will get help from the Health Ministry
whereby the ministry has come out with a collaboration on preclinical test
standards to help our herbal products penetrate overseas markets," she added.
