SECURITY MANAGEMENT IN 13 MAIN SECTORS NEED SERIOUS ATTENTION

GEORGE TOWN (Bernama) - The management of
security of 13 main sectors nationwide has to be given serious attention in
efforts to make the country become globally competitive, said Chief Government
Security Office (CGSO)director-general Johari Jamaluddin.

He said the 13 sectors were playing vital roles in contributing towards the
progress of the nation's development corridors.

Johari said the sectors included electricity, energy, oil, transport,
drainage, gas, armament, chemical, food, water, radiation, telecomunication,
broadcasting, gas and printing.

"It is hoped that all stakeholders in these sectors protect their resources
both human and material to build confidence among foreign investors," he said.

Johari told this to reporters after closing a dialogue session on security
management of important installations which was organised by his office, here
Thursday.
