URGENT - Venezuela's Chavez says treated for cancer.

CARACAS, July 1 (Itar-Tass) -- Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said
on Thursday he had a malignant tumor but had undergone a successful
operation in Cuba to extract the cancerous cells and was on the road to
full recovery.
Chavez, 56, made his first televised remarks to the nation since he
underwent a surgery on June 10 in Havana that triggered widespread
speculation he might be seriously ill.
Venezuelan Vice-President Elias Jaua said the government was united
after the announcement and added Chavez-initiated reforms would deepen.
