LION AIR COMMENCES DAILY FLIGHTS TO KUALA LUMPUR

KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama) - Effective last Wednesday, Lion Air,
Indonesia's largest private carrier, began its operations to KL International
Airport, offering daily flights on the Jakarta-Kuala Lumpur route and back.

The airline used its brand new Boeing 737-900ER series aircraft, with a
maximum capacity of 215 economy-class seats to ply the route.

Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd managing director Bashir Ahmad said the
airline was pleased to have re-established its link with Kuala Lumpur.

"Malaysia Airports will continue with its relentless marketing efforts with
the Indonesian government and relevant stakeholders.

"It's vital and has always been instrumental in our efforts to woo new
airlines and establish new routes," he said in a statement.

Meanwhile, Lion Air president director Rusdi Kirana said it was great to be
back in Kuala Lumpur, which always guarantees good passenger load.

"We're looking for a fruitful and permanent operations to Kuala Lumpur," he
said.

Lion Air operates an extensive network to 61 local destinations, 150 routes
and 475 daily departures. The airline also flies to Malaysia, Singapore,
Vietnam, and Saudi Arabia.
