New challenges facing EU, NATO to be discussed in Warsaw Mon.

WARSAW, July 4 (Itar-Tass) - New challenges and threats to relations
between the European Union (EU) and NATO after the Treaty of Lisbon took
effect are to be discussed here on Monday at a conference in the Polish
Sejm by the chairmen of EU countries' parliamentary commissions on defence.
Russia will be represented by Viktor Zavarzin, Chairman of the State
Duma Committee on Defence. This two-day conference will be the first
international meeting held within the framework of Poland's presidency in
the EU.
